I’m Nina Beitzel and I have been teaching group exercise and personal training for over 12 years. You may know me from my fitness classes locally at Deep Creek Fitness. With recent events (Covid), I’ve found that many of my regular clients prefer to work out at home. Well, consider this website your personal home!

You do not need to spend a fortune on your health. Your own body weight is an amazing tool. With that, and a few supplemental items like bands and dumbbells, you can not only transform an easy home gym, but your own physique and well-being too!

Here are a few of my recommendations for gear that will optimize your at-home fitness classes.

HAND WEIGHTS

I find it beneficial to have both a lighter set (3-5 pounds) as well as heavier set (8-10+ pounds). Of course, if you’re a regular strength training phenom, go heavier!

RESISTANCE BANDS

Exercise bands are a great way to add in gentle and safe resistance to various workouts. On occasion, we will use both mini bands and traditional resistance bands with 2 handles.

MATS

By the time we hit the mat for core work, you will be nice and sweaty. A durable and comfortable mat will make your training session that much better.
